Shawn Pody grew up in Ruston, Louisiana, and learned to sing and play music at an early age with his family Gospel group. After earning a business degree from LA Tech University, Shawn and his wife Kelly moved to Nashville in 1991. Since then, he has shared the stage with numerous musical acts, including Grammy award winner Jerry Reed, ACM winners Trace Adkins and Rodney Atkins, Sonya Isaacs, Country Music Hall of Fame member Randy Owen of Alabama, just to name a few. Shawn has also performed as a solo act and with his band at such places as Gaylord Opryland Hotel, General Jackson Showboat, and international music festivals.
Because of their experience doing corporate events, Shawn Pody and his band have developed a great ability to be flexible. Ensuring the client has a successful event is always priority number one!
Shawn Pody continues to impress as both a bandleader and showman, fronting an assortment of lineups in and around Nashville. His 4, 5, or 6-piece instrumentation specializes in classic rock/variety, oldies, and country, while his iconic Shawn Pody & the Soulmates boasts one of Music City’s finest rock, soul, and R&B bands… and makes a great choice for any wedding, corporate event, fundraiser, or party!
