Haden Carpenter was born and raised in Fort Smith, Arkansas. His musical journey began by singing in an Ozark Mountain church leading him to Memphis, Tennessee to study music in 2001. While in Memphis, Haden honed his craft by performing at a variety of local venues, taking each and every opportunity that would come his way. Inspired by artists like Otis Redding, Al Green, Booker T, Steve Earle, Don Williams, John Prine, and Stevie Wonder, if Haden wasn’t in class or performing, he was writing song after song with fellow artists around town. Upon graduating, Haden knew he needed to be in Nashville. He relocated in 2008 where he immediately became entrenched in the music scene, writing and performing on a regular basis.
In 2012, Haden joined the band of a Warner Nashville recording artist and toured the country as his primary vocalist and guitar player. While on the road, Haden was given the opportunity to open several shows and entertained thousands with his soulful style and unique brand of music. After five years of touring, Haden launched his solo career, which included the release of two singles “Simple Thing” and “Hustlers and Thieves”, followed by his self-titled EP, Haden Carpenter, in 2015.
Haden describes his sound & style as “Arkansoul”… it’s straight from the heart, a combination of raw, unfiltered honesty, a nod to the great soul singers of the past, and the fabric woven from family and roots.
Haden continues to tour heavily, performing at clubs, casinos, fairs, festivals and special events. In addition to his weekly Nashville residencies at Jason Aldean’s Kitchen + Rooftop Bar and Luke’s 32 Bridge, you can also find him performing locally at FGL House, Morgan Wallen’s This Bar, Lainey Wilson’s Bell Bottoms Up, and Miranda Lambert’s Casa Rosa. A dynamic performer, Haden offers custom band packages specifically tailored for special events, corporate events, private parties, wedding receptions, and more.
